In the morning you can stand on a mountain ridge; by evening you can be relaxing in a quiet cove. Distances are short here, but the experiences are intense.

What is the real nature of Mallorca like?

Some people think Mallorca is dry and lacking greenery. The opposite is true. Mallorca is a beautiful island full of color and breathtaking panoramas. Thanks to the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, the island has real hills and dramatic mountain scenery rising high above the sea. Green hills and wetlands meet white beaches and turquoise waters, creating the island’s unique and unforgettable character.

Is it possible to explore Mallorca with our vehicles in 7-10 days?

Yes-it simply depends on how much you want to see. In terms of distances, Mallorca is a compact island and easily accessible in every direction. The narrowest part is about 40 - 45 km across, while the longest stretch is around 100 km. This means different parts of the island can easily be reached within a single day. If you want to truly experience the island in depth, we recommend traveling slowly.

Where should you start your journey?

We recommend that all our customers begin their trip in the north of Mallorca, just 40 - 50 minutes from the capital, Palma de Mallorca, where our base is also located. 
This region is a true gem of the island. It is home to one of the most beautiful and longest beaches in Mallorca. 
Just a few minutes away begin routes leading through the breathtaking viewpoints of Formentor and into the majestic Tramuntana mountains.

Puerto d’Alcudia can be reached directly from the airport by TIB bus line A32, without transfers.
You can begin your stay here immediately after arrival, or arrange vehicle handover at another location when making your reservation.

When is the best time to travel?

Mallorca is ideal from spring through autumn. The best combination of pleasant weather and tranquility comes in spring and autumn, while summer is perfect for lovers of the sea.

Is it difficult to drive a motorhome?

Accepted Answer

Once you get used to its size - which usually takes only a short time-you’ll find that it drives almost as easily as a regular car.

Who can drive the motorhome?

Accepted Answer

The people listed as the main driver and second driver in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle, provided they are over 25 years old and have held a Category B driver’s license (or equivalent) for at least two years.
For drivers from outside the EU, an international driving permit is required. These are insurance and coverage conditions in Spain and cannot be changed.

Can I add a second driver free of charge?

Yes. When making your reservation, simply provide the second driver’s details and we will include them in the contract at no extra cost. This ensures the second driver is authorized to drive the vehicle for the entire rental period.

Is the motorhome self - sufficient and independent of an external electricity connection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The living area of the vehicle functions independently without the need to connect to an external electrical grid, including built-in appliances, heating, and interior climate systems. The batteries recharge automatically while driving. After a drive, all key systems remain fully operational, including the refrigerator with freezer, Truma control panel, interior lighting, and USB or 12V outlets. Battery levels can be monitored via the control panel. To use 230V sockets, the vehicle must be connected to an external power supply.

What equipment do the motorhomes come with as standard?

In addition to services included in the rental price, our vehicles come with standard equipment such as:
Bathroom with toilet and shower
Heating and water heating system

What else is included in the campervan rental price?

The rental price includes all services necessary for comfortable and safe travel:
24-hour roadside assistance

Question 12

Is it possible to add a child seat or a bike rack?

Yes. We are fully prepared for this option. Simply let us know in advance when making your reservation and the requested items will be included with your vehicle. 
In the reservation section, you can either select the relevant option or leave it unchecked.

Question 13

Do children need their own seat?

Accepted Answer

Children are considered regular passengers and must have their own seat for safety reasons.
Child seats should be reserved in advance to ensure availability.

Question 14

Can I rent a bicycle and leave my own at home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can rent various types of bicycles near our base. We’ll be happy to recommend specific places, and if needed we can also load and secure the bikes onto the vehicle together when you pick it up.

Will I have access to hot water and heating?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The vehicles are equipped with independent propane-powered heating, which provides both hot water and interior heating.

How much water will I have available?

Accepted Answer

The motorhomes are equipped with a 100 liter fresh water tank. The tank level can be monitored on the control panel, and its operation will be explained to you during vehicle handover.

What about the shower and hygiene facilities?

All our vehicles come with a fully equipped bathroom as standard, including a sink, shower, and toilet. Many beaches and outdoor areas on Mallorca also offer public showers, which are quite common across the island.

Is it possible to cook directly in the vehicle?

Where can I refill water?

You can refill water at gas stations or at designated water refill points. We recommend using the Park4Night and Caramaps apps to find the nearest locations.

What about fuel and consumption?

Accepted Answer

You receive the vehicle with a full tank and return it with a full tank. A simple philosophy. 
Fuel consumption is comparable to that of a standard passenger car. 
Gas stations are frequent and easily accessible throughout Mallorca.

Question 21

What should I pay special attention to when driving a motorhome?

Accepted Answer

Primarily the height of the vehicle, narrow streets, and reversing maneuvers. Although the vehicle is equipped with a rear camera and parking sensors, we recommend that the passenger step out and assist when maneuvering if space or visibility is limited.

When parking off the roadway, ensure that the vehicle is parked securely with all four wheels on the ground.

How does the 24/7 assistance service work?

Throughout the entire rental period you have access to a 24 hour roadside assistance service, available 7 days a week.

This service is included in the vehicle’s insurance and ensures support and peace of mind during your entire journey.

Is the mileage unlimited?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For travel within the Balearic Islands, mileage is unlimited.

What damage is covered by the insurance with deductible and what should be observed when returning the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Comprehensive insurance protects the vehicle against damage caused by accidents, inattention, or other unforeseen events. When signing the contract, a security deposit of €900 is required, which serves as the deductible. Any damage exceeding this amount is covered by the insurance company.
If the vehicle is returned undamaged, clean, and in proper condition, the full deposit is refunded.

How much does it cost to rent a motorhome?

The rental price depends on the type of vehicle, the length of the rental, and the season.
During peak season (for example summer holidays, Easter, or other public holidays), demand is higher and prices follow seasonal rates.
Indicative prices start from:
€110 / day in the low season
€130 / day in the mid season
€150 / day in the high season
Current prices and availability are always clearly displayed in the reservation calendar. 
Any discounts or special offers are automatically applied to the final price before completing the reservation.

Where can I park a CamperVan?

On Mallorca, it is generally possible to park in public parking areas, near beaches, in towns, or in the mountains, as long as it is not explicitly prohibited by traffic signs. A campervan is considered a regular passenger vehicle, so standard parking is usually not a problem. We always recommend respecting local signage and the surrounding environment.

Is camping allowed on Mallorca?

Mallorca does not have large traditional motorhome campgrounds like some other countries. Official campsites and designated parking areas do exist, but their capacity is limited.
Free camping with outdoor equipment set up (such as chairs or tables) or with water discharge is prohibited. However, sleeping inside the vehicle while properly parked is perfectly acceptable as long as you are not creating a campsite (for example by setting up chairs, tables, or extending the awning). This allows you to rest safely and legally.

Is sleeping in a campervan legal?

Sleeping inside a parked vehicle is generally tolerated on Mallorca. It is important to distinguish between sleeping inside the vehicle and camping. If you stay overnight inside the vehicle and you are not in an area with an explicit prohibition, it is generally acceptable.

How many people is the motorhome suitable for?

It depends on which vehicle you choose. GiottiLine motorhomes are designed to maximize space and comfort. The driver and passenger seats are swivel seats, and many beds are foldable or retractable. Ultimately, the choice depends mainly on how many sleeping places you need.

How does vehicle pickup and return work?

Accepted Answer

Vehicle pickup and return take place by prior arrangement. When handing over the vehicle, we will explain everything, show you the equipment, and if you wish, recommend travel routes.
We also provide comprehensive information about the island, including tips for viewpoints, local towns, mountain areas, and beaches. Standard pickup is from 8:00 AM and return by 8:00 PM, but we always try to remain flexible and adapt to your needs.
What documents do I need before arrival and when picking up the vehicle?

When picking up the vehicle, you will need the following documents:
Valid passport or national ID card -  the same document that was provided electronically during the reservation.

Driver’s license - valid for driving the specific type of vehicle and valid for the entire rental period; this document is also provided during the reservation process.

Reservation confirmation.
The person listed as the second driver must also have the same documents available.

Original copies of all these documents are required when collecting the vehicle.

Question 31

How do motorway tolls work?

Accepted Answer

There are no motorway tolls or road toll charges on Mallorca. Road tax is already included in the rental price.

Question 32

Can passengers lie on the beds while the vehicle is moving?

Accepted Answer

No. For the safety of all passengers, everyone must remain seated and wearing a seatbelt while the vehicle is in motion, just as in a standard car.

Is smoking allowed inside the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

No. Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited, just as it is in most hotel rooms.

Are pets allowed?

Accepted Answer

For travelers with pets, we are preparing a special vehicle dedicated specifically to journeys with animals. 
To protect guests who may have allergies to animal hair, it is best that vehicles intended for travel with pets are offered separately.

What should I do if I need medical treatment?

Accepted Answer

If you require medical assistance during your stay:
In case of emergency, call 112, the international emergency number (no area code required).

Tourists from the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or EEA countries (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein) with a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) are entitled to necessary medical treatment free of charge or under the same conditions as local residents.

Important: Always present your passport or ID card and your EHIC card. Without these documents-or if you visit a private clinic-you may need to cover the treatment costs yourself.
